  • 2 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoonbaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/4 cupcold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cupmilk
  • 1/4 cupchopped fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, and parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the milk and chopped herbs until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
  4. Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
