4ripe pears
1bottle of red wine
1 cupsugar
1cinnamon stick
1vanilla bean, split
8 ouncesof Brie cheese
1package puff pastry, thawed
1egg, beaten
Instructions
Poach the pears: In a saucepan, combine red wine, sugar, cinnamon stick, and vanilla bean. Bring to a simmer and poach the peeled pears for about 20 minutes.
Cool the pears and wrap each in Brie. Encase with puff pastry, sealing the edges. Brush with beaten egg.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
