Easy Homemade Tomato Basil Garlic Bread Recipe

A deliciously savory garlic bread topped with fresh tomatoes and basil, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.

  • 1loaf French bread
  • 4cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cupbutter (softened)
  • 2medium tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/4 cupfresh basil (chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 1/2 cupshredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic. Spread evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  3. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes and chopped basil over the garlic butter. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Slice and serve warm.
