Caramelized Brussels Sprouts Christmas Skewers with Walnut Honey

Caramelized Brussels sprouts on skewers drizzled with walnut honey – a festive and flavorful Christmas appetizer.

  • For the Skewers:
  • 1 lb large Brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Thread Brussels sprouts onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes first).
  4. Place skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway, until Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized on the edges.
  6. Drizzle with walnut honey before serving.

Notes

For the walnut honey, combine 1/4 cup honey with 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts. Optionally, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
