Crispy Flatbread with Brie, Pear, Caramelized Walnuts & Rosemary Hot Honey

A gourmet flatbread featuring creamy brie, sweet pear, crunchy caramelized walnuts, and a fragrant rosemary hot honey drizzle.

  • For the Flatbread Base:
  • 2 rectangular flatbreads or pre-baked pizza crusts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • For the Toppings:
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup caramelized walnuts
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  3. Bake for 5-7 minutes until lightly crispy.
  4. Arrange brie slices and pear slices on the flatbreads.
  5. Return to oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until brie is melted.
  6. While baking, combine honey, rosemary, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 3-4 minutes, then remove rosemary.
  7. Remove flatbreads from oven. Top with caramelized walnuts and drizzle with the rosemary hot honey.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For a shortcut, use store-bought candied walnuts. The hot honey can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
