Greek Chicken Meatballs with Homemade Tzatziki

Juicy Greek chicken meatballs served with a cool and creamy homemade tzatziki sauce. Perfect for appetizers or a light dinner.

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For the tzatziki:
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, egg, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, pepper, and feta. Mix until well combined.
  2. 2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in a single layer and cook until golden and cooked through, about 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. 4. For the tzatziki: In a medium bowl, combine yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, and salt. Mix well.
  5. 5. Serve meatballs with tzatziki sauce.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate the meatball mixture for 30 minutes before shaping. You can also bake the meatballs at 400°F for 15 minutes.
