Mediterranean Lemon Chicken Pita Wraps

Fresh and zesty Mediterranean-inspired chicken wraps with lemon, garlic, and creamy tzatziki, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • For the Wraps:
  • 4 pita breads (or flatbreads)
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • Fresh parsley or mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic. Add chicken strips, toss to coat, and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. 2. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken strips for 5-7 minutes, turning once, until golden and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  3. 3. Warm the pita breads in the pan or oven until soft and pliable.
  4. 4. Assemble each wrap: spread tzatziki on the pita, add chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, and feta cheese. Garnish with fresh herbs.
  5. 5. Roll up the pita tightly, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use vegan tzatziki and omit feta.
