Steak & Shrimp Garlic Lo Mein

A delicious and hearty lo mein loaded with tender steak, succulent shrimp, and a savory garlic sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add steak and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from wok and set aside.
  4. Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to the wok. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside with steak.
  5. Add garlic, bell pepper, and snow peas to the wok. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Return steak and shrimp to the wok. Add cooked noodles and the prepared sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, slice the steak against the grain and have all ingredients prepped before you start cooking, as this dish comes together quickly.
